Crystal is an umbrella term that covers crystals, minerals, and gemstones. Because of their beauty and power, we have used them for thousands of years in jewelry, talismans, and other decorations. Crystals absorb and store energy, both from the earth and from us.

Our modern technology uses the power of crystals to conduct energy in our electronic devices. But our ancestors knew that crystals could conduct magical energy as well.

These colorful stones store the powerful energy of Mother Earth. And since intention is also energy, when you work with them, your intent is absorbed by the crystal. Then it blends with the stored energy and is sent out into the universe.

When selecting a crystal, you can choose a type that matches the energy of your intentions. Or they often say the stone chooses you. If you feel drawn to a particular color or type or it gives you a positive feeling when you hold it, let your intuition guide you.When you first get a crystal, it’s important to cleanse it of any energy it picked up from others who touched it. You do this by setting it in direct sunlight, or placing it in running water, or burying it in the earth.
